SYP Co., Ltd. hosted the “SYP VC Roundtable @ Tokyo” in Tokyo, Japan, where the company engaged in meaningful exchanges with Japanese investment and industry leaders. The event was organized to better understand how Japanese investors source and evaluate investment opportunities in practice. 

Moving away from the conventional demo day format, SYP designed the roundtable as a discussion-driven session focused on investor perspectives and real-world needs. Participants shared practical insights on the characteristics of Japan’s investment ecosystem, deal-sourcing approaches, and key considerations for collaboration. The insights gained from these discussions will be reflected in SYP’s future global and domestic IR programs.

The roundtable welcomed representatives from leading Japanese organizations, including Salesforce Ventures, YANMAR VENTURES, Recruit Holdings Co., Ltd., Deloitte Touche Venture Support, Deloitte, ANA Holdings, AlphaDrive/NewsPicks, and Mitsubishi Materials. Experts from diverse sectors contributed to a broad and constructive dialogue on startup investment and cross-border cooperation.

In addition to the roundtable, SYP conducted meetings and site visits with Salesforce Ventures, 01Booster Inc., Deloitte, and AlphaDrive/NewsPicks. These engagements provided valuable opportunities to deepen SYP’s understanding of Japan’s investment and open innovation landscape.
